Three things in human life are important: the first is to be kind; the second is to be kind; and the third is to be kind.”
I have been a devoted student of mindfulness for over twenty years. An early teen-age curiosity about meditation gradually blossomed into a life's path. Over many years, I have maintained a strong personal daily practice with an emphasis on the cultivation of compassion, and attended extensive silent retreats, and workshops gaining experience from recognized teachers. I am passionate about sharing mindfulness tools and mind-body research. During the course of my training, I recently earned a Minor in Psychology as a way of better understanding the science of mind. I was fortunate totrain with Jon Kabat-Zinnand Saki Santorelli for MBSR, along with completing yoga teacher training at the Seattle Center for Yoga.
I live in the Methow Valley in North Central Washington. First moving here to work in the Pasayten Wilderness in the 1980's, I feel fortunate to call this beautiful, amazing place home. These days, in addition to sharing mindfulness with groups and individuals,I provide in-home care to elders, who teach me something new every day. My husband and I live with an assortment of much loved pets in Twisp.
